VYKEA relies on SphiroX® technology, which enables a targeted release of the micronutrients in the body.
Ordinary supplements usually come as capsules, tablets, or powders. Because many ingredients influence one another or are sensitive to stomach acid, they often have to be taken separately and at different times. That can be complicated. With SphiroX® technology, all ingredients can be taken at once, simply and conveniently, while still working well.
The SphiroX® beads are coated with several functional layers that enable a controlled release of the active ingredients at different points in the digestive tract. Chewing would destroy these layers, and the targeted release would no longer be ensured. Swallow the beads with enough water, without chewing them.
Drug layering is a pharmaceutical process in which active ingredients are applied in thin, even layers onto a carrier core. With SphiroX® Solid, this allows several active ingredients to be combined precisely in each individual bead, with each layer taking on a specific function, from dosing to protection to controlled release.
Coating refers to applying a functional shell to the beads. This protective layer can serve various purposes: protection from stomach acid (gastro-resistant coating), as well as a delayed and/or time-staggered release in the intestine. This way, each active ingredient reaches exactly where it is optimally absorbed.
Certain micronutrients such as vitamin D3, vitamin K2, vitamin E, vitamin A, and omega-3 fatty acids are fat-soluble. That means they need a fat medium to be absorbed by the body. The MCT oil in the SphiroX® Liquids serves as a carrier that markedly improves the bioavailability of these micronutrients.
Every batch is produced to GMP and HACCP standards and goes through multi-stage quality controls. These include identity and purity testing of the raw materials, microbiological tests, heavy-metal analyses, purity analyses, and stability tests of the finished products. All results are documented.
